If you pay attention to my post categories, you’ll notice that I frequently tag RadLab. I thought I would share a little more about it because I am totally addicted! Totally Rad! provides LightRoom presets, Photoshop actions, & Dirty Pictures [image overlays]. RadLab has 80 different photo effects. I usually use LightRoom for quick & easy edits – cropping, removing zits, minor color correction, etc – before using RadLab. This is one of my favorite photos from a few years ago. I straightened it & made a little contrast adjustment in LightRoom:
I usually stop after this for most photos. Sometimes, though, I prefer something a little more “artsy” or edgy. Two of my favorite RadLab effects are Skinny jeans + Get Faded Neutral. This is the same photo with the two effects combined:
I cannot even begin to describe the many options that RadLab offers. In addition to basic adjustments, there are lens effects, both modern & vintage color options, 18 black & whites variations, and sharpening effects. I love the uniqueness that RadLab adds to my photos. Not only is it super simple, but it is a huge time saver with big payoff if you are looking for that little something extra. RadLab gets two thumbs up from this girl!
What do you think? Have you tried RadLab or any other photo effect program?
